In 2018, Hayden Hurst was the Baltimore Raven’s first round pick out of University of South Carolina. However, he was initially drafted into Major League baseball out of high school. In the minors, he struggled with anxiety ultimately leading to severe depression, substance use & a suicide attempt. This podcast dives into his mother’s account of Hayden’s experience, what his family has learned, & their commitment to raise awareness and provide support for mental illness.
